It’s Back-To-School For Community Empower
Community Empower
Is Now Being Taught As A College Course
To Mortgage Finance Students In Los Angeles Community College
District
Los Angeles, CA - Last semester over
250 students graduated from the College of Mortgage Finance
of the Los Angeles Trade Technical College, a member of
the Los Angeles Community College District - the nation’s
largest CCD. Each student was taught credit management principles
from Community Empower’s credit technology.
As part of the program,
college interns are assigned to some 50 Los Angeles employers
to provide in-person credit and financial planning sessions
with first time homeowners. Employees, many of whom are
self-banked or under-banked, receive specific education
in loan and credit qualification.
As part of the program,
CE provides a stored value card with a savings feature called
the Home Savings Fund. Stored value cards enable consumers
to convert their paychecks or cash to an electronic form
of payment acceptable at most retail establishments. Unique
to the Home Savings Fund is a feature that matches the consumer’s
funds $1 for each $1 they save when redeemed during the
home buying process using CE’s network of participating
home builders.
CE And CollEDGE Loans Launch
MyCreditEDGE.com Service
New York, NY -- Community Empower and
CollEDGE Loans used the Big Apple and the 4th of July Celebration
as a backdrop to announce a new joint venture called MYCreditEdge.com.
MYCreditEdge.com is the
first credit qualification tool for credit-based college
loans. The system helps solve the problem associated with
a burgeoning need for credit-based college loans where many
parents are unable to qualify due to poor credit.
MYCreditEdge.com allows
college loan administrators to direct parents and college
kids to an online credit recovery system that provides specific
action plans to improve consumer credit. MYCreditEdge.com
is the first system of its kind to solve this emerging problem
in the college financial aid market.
MYCreditEdge.com is a major
infrastructure for a series of solutions in the college
market for Community Empower. Other ventures include a major
commitment to EDGEucateAmerica, a national campaign for
credit education backed by major universities and lending
organizations. The purpose of this site is to be a resource
for education information for every person - no matter where
they are in their lives - from K-12 to retiring adults.
The site will provide information about exams (ACT/SAT),
scholarships, career assessment, financial aid, financial
literacy and housing. To learn more, go to www.mycreditedge.com.
